I owe so much of my Montessori journey to my wonderful Aunt Cath. She has always been a champion of Montessori and she continually encouraged me to seek it out. Finally, I listened, and it was basically love at first sight. 

I got accepted to the Washington Montessori Institute and moved from my tiny apartment in New York City to Baltimore, MD, and began what would become one of the best years of my life. 

I always loved working with children, but I didn't resonate with traditional education methods. I worked as a nanny for years, which took me all over the world. It was an incredible experience, but I wanted more. I wanted a career, but just didn't know where to begin. 

Montessori helped me understand the beauty of the world, how to be resilient when making mistakes, and more importantly, how to embrace my own strengths. 

Right after graduation, I began the first elementary program at a beautiful school in Vienna, Virginia. This experience challenged, shaped, and changed my life. I realized that Montessori was, without a doubt, the best educational method for children.

Fantastic question. I have worked in the classroom for 5 years, began an elementary program and a virtual Montessori school, worked in administration, and implemented a Montessori environment for my children in my home. 

But aside from my experience, I absolutely love Montessori. It is my passion and I want nothing more than to help others bring it into their homes, families, and classrooms.
